The Vapor’s tongue

Among analog smokers, it is well known that smoking dulls the sense of taste. When you make the transition from analog to electronic cigarettes, your taste capability should grow over time. This takes as little as a week for some, and up to six weeks for others. Unfortunately, with this heightened feeling often, the olfactory senses will be overwhelmed and shut down, causing the exhaustion of the accursed vapor. Don’t get in trouble! This is natural, and simply the way to recover from the olfactory senses. This can happen when your sense of taste returns many times, which will last just a few hours or in some cases a few days. Your body will finally adapt and this will not continue to happen again. In this scenario, the exhaustion of the vapor just waits for it.

To gain a deeper insight into this irritating numbness of taste, we must consider the relationship between tastebuds and the nose. (i.e., how they taste is improved by the olfactory sense.) Our nose plays an enormous role in allowing us to discern and identify various flavors. The scent of an e-liquid (or something else) blends with what you eat to create a complete “flavor.” The relation between the nose and the tongue of the vaper is less direct than the tastebuds but still leads to a lack of it.

What other effects can vape tongue cause?

Users who regularly consume these ingredients often experience a tongue-based coating that prevents flavors from entering the buds of the palate, and inflammation of the nasal cavity that interferes with the sense of smell that is necessary to enable us to the palate. It’s close to the desensitization that cigarette smokers undergo. Vape tongue does not only interfere with the enjoyment of the vape’s flavors; it also prevents you from enjoying the taste of food and drink.

What, then, can you do?

My first piece of advice is that it will do you no good to increase the amount of DIY Ejuice Flavors in your bottle. Indeed this can make it worse! If a bottle has too much flavor, your body may automatically get confused and can start blocking some points, or even making you nauseous because of its potency. Only then can our taste buds tolerate so much. My suggestion number one is to try a new flavor only for a moment. Eventually, the taste buds should come up around. Meanwhile, you can find a flavor that you love even more than the one that you’ve exhausted. Fruity flavors have the most influence on us. If necessary, have a couple of flavors on hand and regularly turn it up. I prefer to switch to a creamy one from a rather fruity flavor, and then to something tough like tobacco or chocolate. It is delightful to return to a simple fruit after spending a bit with the “heavy” flavors.

The vapor’s tongue is very common and is rarely a serious health concern. (Now I don’t mean to say it’s not agitating.) By giving yourself time between hits, remaining hydrated, and rotating your flavors once in a while, you’ll be able to effectively avoid this irritating affliction and enjoy your e-liquid’s full-body taste as it was meant to be. When you decide to rotate flavors I will recommend Flavorah. Flovorah is an e-liquid manufacturer with so many flavorings to choose from. They are well noted for their quality standards when it comes to all of their products. From your favorite flavor to any other flavor you might want to try, they have you covered.
